On a short trolley with screw jacks, a mechanical device is built for obtaining easily and accurately the positiom of the pole faces of the magnetic analyzer umder the vertical beam of a 300-kev electrostatic accelerator. This position is defined by mieans of screws, and three imdependent movements: two horizontal translations plus or minus 3/4" and a rotation plus or minus 2.5" around the vertical axis. (auth)
