The relative permeation rates of electrolytically discharged hydrogen, deuterium, and mixtures of the two through sheet-iron cathodes were measured, and values for both the separation factor and the combined separationpermeation factor were determined. Also, data were obtained on the infiuence of strain, surface condition, and chemically precharged hydrogen on the permeation rate of electrolytic hydrogen.
