RESONANCE IN ELASTIC SCATTERING OF ELECTRONS BY HELIUM ATOMS
Journal Article

· Proc. Phys. Soc. (London)
In agreement with Schulz, resonance was observed in the elastic collision cross section for electrons in helium. This occurs at approximately 0.5 ev below the 2/sup 3/S excitation threshold and leads to a temporary decrease of 6% in the value of the cross section. A compound He- ion state may be invoived.
