AN AUTOMATIC SINGLE CHANNEL SPECTROMETER FOR QUICK QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS
Journal Article
·
· Nucl. Instr. Methods
A set-up for quick qualitative and quantitative analysis of radioactive isotopes with a modified single channel scintillation spectrometer is described. The whole operation is automatic and the stability and the accuracy of the electronic equipment is found to be good when compared to conventional set-ups. Activities ranging between few microcuries to few milli microcuries are acceptable. The total time of operation can be varied from a few minutes to a few tens of minutes. The spectrum can either be displayed on a C.R. tube of sufficiently long persistance or can be recorded on a recorder. (auth)
