COLLECTION OF HELIUM IN SINTERING OF BERYLLIUM OXIDE IRRADIATED WITH NEUTRONS (in French)

Journal Article · · Journal of Nuclear Materials (Netherlands)
Studies were made on bubble formation in BeO irradiated with 2.2 x 10/ sup 20/ neutrons/cm/sup 2/, then annealed at 1200 deg C. It was demonstrated that the bubbles are collections of helium. Measurements of the specific heat confirmed that helium, to 600 deg C, begins to evolve in the crystalline network of BeO. (P.C.H.)
