Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4695471
A program for the evaluation of the extrudability of B-66 (Nb--5V--5Mo-- 1Zr) and T-111 (Ta--8W--2HF) alloys for tubing is outlined. Starting billets are being clad in mild steel and will be extruded within the 2000 to 2200 c- F temperature range. The tube blank size of 2-in. OD x 1/4in.-thick wall will be extruded from a 4.22-in.-OD x 1.30-in.-thick wall starting billet. (P.C.H.)
