ACTIVATION ANALYSIS DETERMINATION OF IMPURITIES IN ALUMINUM. II. DETERMINATION OF COPPER AND DYSPROSIUM (in German)

Journal Article · · Radiochimica Acta (West Germany)
OSTI ID:4694781
A method for the selective extraction of copper is described. It is based on the fact, that cuprous ions form a complex with 2,2'-diquinolyl which is extractable by amyl alcohol. Copper is re-extracted into the aqueous layer by nitric acid and precipitated by benzoinoxime, and the 051Mev peak (annihilation radiation) is measured. Dysprosium is determined, without destruction, after short-time irradiation by measuring the 91-kev peak. (auth)
