A description of the design, location, operation, and hazards analysis of the Western New York Nuclear Research Center is presented. Results of the analysis show that the consequences of maximum credible accidents can be controlled so that personnel exposures are in the permissible range. Safe operation of the reactor under specifications included in the analysis is assured. (J.R.D.)
