GEOLOGIC ASPECTS OF THORIUM RECOVERY FROM COMMON ROCKS. Final Report, June 1, 1962 to May 31, 1963

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4694347
The distribution of thorium and uranium in the Conway granite of New Hampshire was investigated by autoradiography and alpha-particle pulse-height analysis. The concentration of thorium is at least four times the average concentration of thorium in the earth's crust. Alphaparticle pulse-height analysis was also used to study radioactive disequilibrium in the uranium-238 decay series. (N.W.R.)
