Intercomparison of National Roentgen and Gamma Ray Exposure-Dose Standards

Journal Article · · Acta Radiologica, Therapy, Physics, Biology
A pair of cavity ionization chambers was circulated to the national laboratories of France, Germany, U. K., and U. S. A. for calibration with roentgen and gamma rays. The difference of their calibrations with a given quality of radiation is taken as a measure of the disagreement of the national standards. The results obtained agree with some earlier direct comparisons to within the expected uncertainty of these measurements or about 0.5 per cent.
