The decontamination factor of penta and tetra complexes of nitrosylruthenium in the primary separation plant of irradiated reactor fuel processing was expressed as a complex function of reaction rate constants, number of stage, mixing time/bank, and the volume ratios of solvent, feed, and strip. The obtained equation may sufficiently express the significant interactions between them and it is shown that the most effective factor is the reaction rate constant and the total mixing time in the stripping section, the second is the volume flow ratios and the total mixing time in the extraction section, and the third is the mixing time at the feed stage. It was also demonstrated from the calculation results that the mixing time may be remarkably decreased by further repeating the decontamination process. The stripping mixing time should be finally decided from the enrichment of reactor fuel, considering the criticality and the capacity of effluent treatments. (auth)
