(p-pd) Reaction
Investigation of the high momentum components of nucleons in a nucleus by observing coincidences between the scattered proton and the knocked-out deuteron in (p,pd) reactions and comparing the results with known p-d elastic scattering is examined. Information about the two-nucleon correlation function is obtained in this manner. The angular correlation distribution for the Li/sup 6/(p,pd)He/sup 4/ reaction is obtained. (D.C.W.)
