FAILED-FUEL-ELEMENT DETECTION SYSTEM IN CVTR

Journal Article · · Nucleonics (U.S.) Ceased publication
OSTI ID:4692428
A method for detecting and locating defective fuel elements for removal with a minimum amount of shutdown time is described. To do this job at Carolinas- Virginia Tube Reactor a failed-element detector and locating system was designed and built that can accurately locate failures in the fuel elements. This system can be adopted for any pressure-tube reactor. (C.E.S.)
