A MOLECULAR BEAM DETECTOR WITH ELECTRON COLLISION IONIZATION AND QUADRUPOLE MASS FILTER

Thesis/Dissertation ·
OSTI ID:4691211
A molecular beam detector with ionization by electron collision is described. The detector operates with in ionization probability of 2.5 x 10/sup - 3/ and a transmission of 0.5. The sensitivity of the instrument was calibrated with a Rb beam. The advantages of the detector in comparison to other molecular beam detection systems are discussed. (Gmelin Inst.)
