ABSORPTION BANDS OF CARBON DIOXIDE FROM 5.3 TO 4.6 MICRONS

Journal Article · · J. Res. Natl. Bur. Std.
Measurements were made of the frequencies of the infrared absorption lines of CO/sub 2/ in the region from 1850 cm/sup -1/ to 2150 cm/sup -1/. Observations were made at various pressures and pathlengths up to a maximum of 72 meteratmospheres. Vibration-rotation constants were obtained characterizing the transitions 11/sup 1c/0--000, 11/sup 1dc/0-000, 03/sup 1c/0000, 03/sup 1d/0--000, 200--01/sup 1c/0, 12/sup 2c/0-- 01/sup 1c/0 12/sup 2d/0-0 1/sup 1d/0 for C/sup 12/ O/sub 2/. The 11/sup 1c/0--000 band due to the C/sup 13/O/sub 2/ mole cule was also measured. (auth)
