BOUNDARY CONDITIONS AT THE SURFACE OF HOLLOW SLOWING-DOWN CONTROL RODS IN THREE-GROUP THEORY (in German)

Journal Article · · Kernenergie (East Germany)
OSTI ID:4686490
A method for the calculation of boundary conditions for the flux at the surface of a hollow, cylindrical control rod, which contains a moderating substance inside, was developed in the frame of the three-group diffusion theory. The cladding of the rod was assumed to be nonslowing. The effects of the neutron flux and flow through the cladding are described by transition probabilities, which are calculated by the principles of the transport theory. No assumptions were made about the scattering and absorption properties of the cladding. (tr- auth)
