DOUBLE CORE EVENT IN EXTENSIVE AIR SHOWER

Journal Article · · J. Phys. Soc. Japan
DOI:https://doi.org/10.1143/JPSJ.18.592· OSTI ID:4684693
An example of a double core event in an extensive air shower (EAS) whose size is 6 x 10/sup 5/ particles and age parameter is 0.8 is presented. Assuming pure electromagnetic development of EAS in the atmosphere, a crude estimate of initiation height is obtained from the age. From the initiation height a transverse momentum of 10 Bev/c is obtained. (C.E.S.)
