COSMIC-RAY DIURNAL VARIATION WITH PHASE INVERSE TO USUALLY OBSERVED PHASE

Journal Article · · Journal of Geomagnetism and Geoelectricity (Japan)
OSTI ID:4676476
The phase of the diurnal variation of cosmic-ray intensity that occurred on Dec. 23, 1957 is directed to the anisotropy near 6 hr in local time. After the investigation of five similar examples, it is concluded that these diurnal variations with inverse phase appear on the geomagnetically quiet days after the occurrence of Type IV solar radio outburst.
