Removal of Strontium-90 from Milk
A practical, efficient, safe, and inexpensive method is described for the removal of Sr/sup 90/ from milk. Milk is contacted with slightly soluble calcium phosphate and then separated from the added salts. About 90% of the Sr in raw milk is removed by the method. (C.H.)
