Excitation of levels in Li6 by inelastic electron scattering

Inelastic scattering of electrons from metallic targets of Li6 was studied as part of a program to establish the validity of the Born approximation calculation of the cross section. This calculation predicts the separation of the inelastic form factor into two contributions corresponding to the absorption of longitudinal and transverse virtual photons by the bombarded system.
