OSTI ID:4671041
>The bubble chamber is at present the most widely used instrument for taking photographs of tracks of particles in high-energy physics. The general working principles of these chambers are explained, and their applications in the physics of elementary particles are discussed. Furthermore, some important details of the chambers operating at low temperatures on one hand and of the heavy liquid chambers on the other are described. (auth)
