PRACTICAL EXPERIENCES WITH THE 31 Mev BETATRON (in German)

The design and operation of a radiographic testing plant, using a 31-Mev betatron, for nondestructive testing of heavy metal parts including cast 12 to 13% Cr steel parts are described. The analysis of image quality as compared to Co/sup 60/ radiation and intensity compensation was made using Pb and Ta amplifier foils. (Rev. Metal Lit., 19: No. 9, Sept. 1962)
