In December 1962 a conference on weak interactions was held at the Laboratory for Theoretical Physics of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Investigations. One of the problems discussed was the effect of the form factor in weak interactions, in particular in hyperon and K-meson decays and in the v + N ons in pyrolyti N + 1... type reactions. During the discussions it was brought out that the Brookhaven -meson experiments on the neutrino may be also explained by assuming the existence of a single neutrino in nature; the large number of -mesons observed in the experiments is attributed to the contribution of a pseudocascade form factor. Experiments were proposed for confirming this theory. The cosmological role of the neutrino was reviewed in several papers; a new theory of the evolution of the universe, opposed to the assumptions of Gamow and Alpher, was presented; in it the formation of light elements is forbidden. The two-component and four-component theories of the two, electron and muon, neutrinos are considered to be equivalent and cannot be differentiated in experiments not making use of the gravitational field. The role of the energy-dependent matrix elements in the radiative capture of - mesons by the nuclei was clarified. (TTT)
