REGGE POLES. I

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4667970
Possible types of scattering amplitude behavior as a function of complex angular momentum were discussed, and theoretical studies on the type of behavior in a particle process containing unitarity, analyticity, and crossing symmetry were described. The possibility of Regge behavior exhibition by conventional field theories was also considered, and results of recent studies of elementary vector mesons and the high-energy limit of scattering amplitudes were presented. Existence of a spin-1 particle in the framework of dispersion theory was shown to induce a Regge trajectory of the Pomeranchuk type under certain conditions. (D.C.W.)
