EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE AND NEUTRON IRRADIATION ON YIELD AND WORK HARDENING IN IRON

Journal Article · · J. Iron Steel Inst. (London)
OSTI ID:4666193
S>The neutron irradiation of cold swaged and annealed pure Fe wires at 80 to 100 deg C, and tensile testing at 293 to 78 deg K to determine the effect of temperature and irradiation on the lower stress and the work hardening rate is reported. A comparison was made between the decrease in work hardening rate with increasing strain and the decrease produced by irradiation. (Rev. Metal Lit., 20: No. 6, June
