$nu$$sub 3$ AND $nu$$sub 1$ BANDS OF THE NT$sub 3$ MOLECULE

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4664839
The nu /sub 3/f the NT/sub 3/ molecule occurring at about 4.5 mu was recorded with a high resolution spectrograph. The observed rotational structure was analyzed and the constants evaluated are STAB'/sub ( nu 3)/ - B"/sub (ground state)/! = -0.030/sub 5/cm/sup -1 /; nu /sub 3/= 0.214; q = 0.007 cm/sup -1/; and nu /sub 0/ = 2184.76 cm/sup -1/. The nu /sub 1 / band whose Q branch was located at 2014.1 cm/sup -1/ was found to be much weaker than the nu /sub 3/ band; these two bands are of comparable intensity in the NR/sub 3/ molecule.
