The interdependence between the boiling point, charac teristic temperature, and principal quantum number was established for compounds with uniform bounds. An expression was obtained for calculation of the boiling points of alkali metals accounting for the correction known in the combination principle of the spectroscopy for Li. Formulas are presented for analytical calculation of boiling points as well as for calculation of temperatures from thermal and elastic properties measured under conventional conditions. The relations derived may be used for preliminary estimation of boiling points of refractory metals and metal-like compounds. (auth)
