The effect of a partial plutonium conversion on the equilibrium concentration was theoretically investigated. The increase of the multiplication factor in partial Pu conversion with respect to the value for the total conversion was calculated as a function of the separation coefficient. The optimum conditions for the operation of a light-watermoderated reactor with natural uranium and pantially converted plutonium were determined. (J.S.R.)
