ON THE HORMONAL REGULATION OF CARBOHYDRATE METABOLISM STUDIES WITH C$sup 14$ GLUCOSE

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4660215
Glucose labeled with C/sup 14/ was used in studies of the influence of various hormones on carbohydrate metabolism in dogs. Results are reported from investigations of the state of carbohydrate metabolism during pituitary or adrenal deficiency and during growth hormone or glucocorticoid regimes. The effects of glucagon, epinephrine, and insulin on blood glucose concentration were also studied. (C.H.)
