BS>A sample of liquid CO/sub 2/ is collected in an oil-free sample cylinder. The liquid is gasified and the gas passed through a bubbler containing CCl/sub 4/. When all the liquid has vaporized, the cylinder and fittings are rinsed with CCl/sub 4/. The CCl/sub 4/ is examined in an infrared spectrometer, the absorption of 2890 cm/sup -1/ being used to give a measure of the oil concentration. (auth)
