STUDY OF THE $beta$$-$$gamma$ DIRECTIONAL CORRELATION IN Au$sup 19$$sup 8$ (in French)

Journal Article · · Bull. Soc. Belge Phys., Ser. III
OSTI ID:4651443
The directional correlation in the 2-- yields 2+ yields 0+ cascade between Au/sup 198/ and the ground state of Hg/sup 198/ is measured. The beta end-point energy is 963 kev and the gamma energy is 412 kev. The anisotropy of the directional correlation is measured as a function of beta energy, and it is found that as the beta energy decreases below 963 kev the anisotropy also steadily decreases, and does not begin to rise anomalously.
