After a short review of other methods for the evaluation of pulse height spectra with a scintillation spectrometer, an interpolation process is described in which the matrix of the spectral detection probability can be ascertained approximately from the pulse height spectra of fewer standardized radiators. The sought energy spectra were found by multiplication of the observed pulse height spectra by the inverse of this matrix. In this way the gamma lines were produced as Gaussian curves which had a characteristic half width for the spectrometer. (tr-auth)
