Procedures for obtaining satisfactory electrodeposits of Ag or Cu on uranium are discussed. Because a method of achieving true chemical bonding of plated deposits has not yet been developed, the surface of the uranium must be roughened to give mechanical adhesion. A review of etching and chemical bonding techniques is also presented. Plating is usually harmful to the corrosion resistance of uranium. (Rev. Metal Lit., 20: No. 5, May 1963)
