NONLINEAR SPACE-CHARGE WAVES WITH TRAPPED ELECTRONS

It is shown that large-amplitude space-charge waves in electron streams with electrons of one stream trapped in the wave troughs can also propagate along another stream. The streams are assumed to have infinite and uniform cross sections, while ion motion, collisions, and relativistic effects are neglected. The two-stream case is considered but the method can be applied to other multistream problems. (C.E.S.)
