Dose-Response Relationship for Reproductive Integrity of Vicia faba Deduced from Protracted Irradiation Experiments

The daily growth rate of bean roots was observed for several weeks under continuous irradiation at low dose rates. A method was developed to deduce from this data the dose-response curve for reproductive integrity of the meristem cells due to protracted irradiation, by assuming the relationship to be an exponential function of dose.
