POLARIZATION OF NEUTRONS SCATTERED FROM DEUTERONS

The polarization of neutrons scattered from deuterons was measured for several angles at neutron energies of than 0.05 for neutron energies of 1.9 and 8.0 Mev and at 10.0 and 18.4 Mev polarizations of the order of 0.1 are observed. For a neutron energy of 23.7 Mev the polarization changes from --0.1 at 110 deg to +0.1 at 138 deg passing through zero polarization near 125 deg . (auth)
