ON THE THERMODYNAMIC CYCLES IN BOILING WATER NUCLEAR PLANTS (in Italian)

Journal Article · · Termotecnica (Milan)
OSTI ID:4645752
In nuclear power plants with boiling water reactors, the production of low-quality steam can require thermodynamic cycles with iserthalpic channels for the liquid, which do not follow the Rankine-Clausius cycle and have functional singularities. The characteristics of such cycles with one or more successive channels are described. The thermodynamic theory is developed using Mollier diagrams, and expressions for the specific thermal yield are obtained for the various cases examined. (tr-auth)
