CONTRIBUTION TO THE DETERMINATION OF ZIRCONIUM IN STEEL (in German)

Journal Article · · Radex Rundschau
OSTI ID:4643880
A method for the quantitative chemical analysis of 0.01 to 2% Zr in Ti- free steel based on the separation of Zr from other elements by precipitation with cupferron, fusion with Na/sub 2/CO/sub 3/, and precipitation with NH/sub 4/ OH is described. The separated Zr in sulfuric acid solution is determined photometrically using pyrocatechol-purple as indicator. (Rev. Metal Lit., 20: No. 7, July 1963)
