Advanced stimulation technology deployment program, Snyder Oil Corporation, Mesaverde Group, Hunter Mesa Unit, Garfield County, Colorado. Topical report, September 1995-August 1996

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:464285
This report summarizes the transfer of the core of GRI advanced stimulation technologies to Snyder Oil Corporation and their application at the Hunter Mesa Unit, Garfield County, Colorado, by Integrated Petroleum Technologies, Inc. The program provided Snyder a better understanding of advanced stimulation technologies and established an overall reservoirs/stimulation model for the field to use as a baseline for future improvement. The program included (1) characterization of the reservoir with a statistical review and production history match of prior completions in the area: (2) workshops and hands-on field training, (3) real-time evaluation of fracture treatments coupled with detailed post-treatment evaluations; and (4) finite difference reservoir simulation of pressure build-up tests and post-treatment production responses.
