NUCLEAR MAGNETIC RESONANCE IN FERROMAGNETIC Mn$sub 5$Ge$sub 3$ AT LOW TEMPERATURES

Journal Article · · Phys. Letters

The enhanced nuclear magnetic resonance of Mn/sup 55/ in ferromagnetic Mn/sub 5/Ge/sub 3/ was investigated at 1.6, 4.2. and 77.0 deg K. A negative frequency shift of the 2l8.8 Mc line at 1.6 deg K was found, suggesting that the effective nuclear field is negative for Mn at the 4d site. Measurements on spinlattice relaxation times made by observing the recovery of the spin-echo signal after saturation were also presented. (C.E.S.)
