A device for the automatic alteration of the magnetic field of the mass spectrometer MI-1305 is described. A scanning block permits automatic recording of recurrent mass spectra in any msss interval of the selected range. The apparatus is distinguished from earlier devices by simplicity of construction and a larger range for recording spectra. (tr -auth)
