MUTUAL COUPLING BETWEEN $Sigma$$,$$lambda$ NON-LEPTONIC DECAY VERTICES AND TWO-POINT HYPERON NUCLEON VERTICES THEIR LIFETIME AND ASYMMETRICAL PROPERTIES OF DECAY

It is shown that the hyperon-nucleon two-paint vertices cannot be renormalized to zero in second order perturbation diagrams. These vertices are treated mutually coupled with the non-leptonic decay vertices of LAMBDA and SIGMA hyperons. A set of coupled equations among these vertices is derived within the frame of perturbation theory by assuming the relative parities of SIGMA - LAMBDA even, and LAMBDA --N-K and SIGMA -N-K odd. They are solved with the approximation of global symmetry and baryon mass degeneration whenever the latter would not cause difficulty. The solutions contain only two undetermined parameters, a proportionality constant and the product of the K- pi vertex and the LAMBDA -N-K (or SIGMA - N--K) coupling constant. These two parameters determine completely all non-leptonic decay properties, and will be chosen to fit experiments. A cut-off parameter turns out too low. But the calculated decay parameters generally agree with experiments. Whether the difficulty with the low cut-off originates from the model itself or from not using the actual strong coupling constants and parities is not known. (auth)
