The information necessary to provide a basis for evaluating the safety of the Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Plant is presented. A description is given of the site, containment, reactor design, steam supply systems, shielding, instrumentation and control, and secondary systems. The testing, operation, administration, and training programs are described briefly. Finally, accidents and potential hazards are considered, and the maximum credible accident and a hypothetical accident are analyzed. (D.L.C.)
