IMPROVEMENTS IN ROTARY MOTION TRANSMITTING MEANS EMBODYING CLUTCH MEANS

Patent ·
OSTI ID:4624587

A motion-transmitting means for use with a reactor refuelling machine is patented. The mechanism consists of two rotary mounted concentric members, which are separable through relative axial movement. A clutch couples the members together and permits their separation. The clutch includes a movable locking means, which can be withdrawn to release the members from each other or projected to make the clutch effective. The motiontransmitting means may be the drive shaft and gear wheel of a fuel-element charge tube in a refuelling machine. (M.P.G.)
