What direction should production debugger development be taking? What are the top user priorities? How can the development of heterogeneous/distributed debuggers be facilitated? Should there be a standard debugging language? This workshop promotes an open exchange of information among debugger developers and users from the academic, research, and commercial communities. The goal is to advance the state of applied debugging technology by indicating what new techniques should be integrated into the production debuggers used by the high-performance community. Discussions will encompass the debugging requirements of traditional vector supercomputing and high-end workstation users, as well as parallel programmers.
