This memorandum details the first meeting of the joint LASL-UCRL Research Coordination Committee which convened at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 1956, in Bldg. 141, at Livermore. The purpose of the committee was to promote better liaison on, and direction of, the outside contracts sponsored by the two Laboratories as well as the internal programs of the Laboratories in the areas of Research, Development, and Engineering Studies. Detailed discussions of coating development, graphite development, and materials testing are presented in this memorandum.
