Flux and current distributions were calculated in an anisotropically scattering subcritical medium with a parallel Monte Carlo code. Both monodirectional and isotropic sources were considered at the surface of the medium. The geometries used were those common to standard codes, i.e. semi-infinite, slab and cylindrical. The purpose was producing both benchmark quality flux and current data as well as benchmarking a massively parallel computer for transport Monte Carlo calculations. The statistical error of the results is under 2.5% for all cases except for an isotropic source and a cylindrical medium. The CPU time for the simulation of 5{times}10{sup 5} particle histories varies from 10 s to 180 s, depending on the scattering probability value.
