The application of an auto-refueling method for the CANDU 6

An automatic refueling simulation method for the CANDU 6 has been developed. The basic principle of this method is to maintain the reactor conditions as predicted by a time-averaged model using several constraints and selection criteria. The constraints used in this method are the channel and bundle power and the fuel burnup. The final selection of the refueling channel is determined based on the ordering of candidate channels, which enhances the reactor power distribution close to the time-averaged model. The refueling simulation was performed for the CANDU 6 reactor and the results were satisfactory.
