Computational results are compared and summarized for a total of ten contributors to the fourth annual ASME Heat Transfer Division benchmark session for computational heat transfer simulations of incompressible flow with heat transfer. The two-dimensional, steady, buoyancy driven flow of a highly variable, temperature dependent, viscosity fluid is solved for the square cavity. The benchmark problem description is given in both dimensional and nondimensional forms. Summary comparisons are made for selected velocity and temperature profiles at various locations in the cavity. Tabular comparisons are made of maximum Nusselt numbers on the hot and cold wall, as well as u and v velocity maximums for vertical and horizontal, respectively, midplanes in the cavity.
