Specific heat of (Ca{sub 0.4}La{sub 0.6})(Ba{sub 1.35}La{sub 0.65})Cu{sub 3}O{sub {delta}} for different oxygen concentrations

The authors investigate the specific heat in high fields (0-14T, 40-150K) of (Ca{sub 0.4}La{sub 0.6})(Ba{sub 1.35}La{sub 0.65})Cu{sub 3}O{sub {delta}} ceramics with different oxygen, concentrations {delta}. The specific heat jump {Delta}C/T{sub c}{approx_equal}13 mJ/K{sup 2}mole is about three times smaller for the compound with {delta}=7.19 compared to YBa{sub 2}Cu{sub 3}O{sub 6.94}. The field dependence of the specific heat of oxidized samples is comparable to that of YBa{sub 2}Cu{sub 3}O{sub 7}, whereas that of reduced samples is similar to that of Bi{sub 2}Sr{sub 2}CaCu{sub 2}O{sub 8}.
